About this tour
The jeeps climb out of Alanya in convoy and are on dirt within twenty minutes, winding up through pine forest towards villages where the road is still gravel. There are stops for photos where the whole bay opens out below, and at a small market where local honey and cotton scarves are sold. Lunch is at a riverside restaurant in the shade. Trout, salad, bread from a wood oven. The last stretch back down is the wet one: villagers and other jeeps come armed with water, so keep your camera in a dry bag.
